About Us
Well I must say I was dreading August as it is traditionally the quietest month for sales what with everyone being on holiday and the routine of school kicked to the kerb but you lot have totally surprised me – I have been rushed off my feet. Now I’m not complaining – I just can’t thank you guys enough for supporting my small little business. I can’t take all the credit of course – that JOHN STILLMAN exhibition took everyone by surprise. It is after all, his first solo local for 4 years and he did not disappoint!

Normally our launches end quite promptly at 9pm but no-one wanted to leave and in the end all the customers helped me dismantle the gazebo and bring in everything – what sweethearts!

This was the killer picture that everyone wanted |
We have very few 2011 calendars left and the cards had to be re-stocked almost immediately. It was also the first time we’d ever red dotted sold paintings and kept it in the gallery so we felt very posh!
If anyone missed out on a painting (oh the groans believe me!) then please email us to go on the xmas show list to be held exclusively at JOHN STILLMAN’s home in December. It is fast becoming the social event and oh – those sausage rolls!
Next exhibition by UK artist ANDREW FITCHETT is gonna be rather odd (Crows and Detective’s) but fear not and come to the launch to meet the great man himself. Do not miss this!!!
Aside from the gallery, the shop now sells shabby chic furniture along with some classic pieces that really fit our little corner well so as they sell, new pieces will come in and as always with everything in the shop they are very cheap.
MECCANNO MAGIC
It was so magical at xmas to have this installation by award winning competition meccanno buildier SANTIAGO PLICIO that I’ve kept this link up for you to see.
